Loc8tor Pack: I purchased this system to replace the "Now you can find it" system that I had, which had gone bad in less than a year. This system works much better by far.
The Loc8tor Pack has excellent range, the tags are very small and the display will actually help guide you to your lost items. The tags themselves also beep while being located and have a small blinking light also. I find it very handy. You can have up to 24 tags in the system and can name each one. The only downsides that I have found thus far are that the audio "pitch" does not change on my unit, so it's harder to determine that you're getting closer without closely watching the screen. I had done a great deal of research on this item before purchasing it, and every review I watched showed this feature and the product description also states this, however, mine doesn't seem to work. My audio stays exactly the same no matter how close I get and tends to cut in and out a lot while moving around. Also, you are supposed to be able to adjust the keypad volume and locate volume separately, but this does not work; adjusting the locate volume has no effect on anything and adjusting the keypad volume effects everything. I have sent numerous e-mails to the company over the past 90 days and have received no response, aside from an automated acknowledgment that they received my inquiry. This has been disappointing, as my unit may just be defective, but now it's far past the time frame which I could have received an exchange. All and all, I'm okay with the purchase, as it does at least allow me to locate my items. It was a bit costly, but it makes up for it in actually working well, so that's better than wasting money on something that doesn't work well for a short while, then dies. I've had this system over 3 months and so far it's working just fine. I would recommend this product, but I'm not impressed with the company's support of it. R. Precourt
